Most of what we work on out here is cabins, lodges, and year-round homes built to handle deep snow, strong wind events through the canyon, and real wildfire exposure from park-interior fires. Heavy snow loads above 70 psf are common on park-adjacent parcels, so material and fastener choice matters more than it does down in the valley.
The two systems we install most:
We also handle roof repair, tear-off and replacement, new construction roofing, and annual inspections. Ice dam, leak, and animal-damage repair on older cabins is common work.
For lodges, inns, rental cabins, and commercial properties near the park entrance, we install standing seam metal on larger buildings, TPO and EPDM for low-slope additions and connectors, and commercial shingle for mixed-use and smaller lodging. We schedule around peak summer when possible and coordinate with property managers on access through gated or seasonally restricted roads.
We are a Malarkey Certified Contractor, which unlocks enhanced manufacturer warranties on the shingles we install. For out-of-state and seasonal owners, which is most of the area up here, we run jobs remotely with daily photos, scheduled calls, and electronic billing. Read local feedback on our reviews page.
Elevations near the park run from about 3,150 feet at the river to much higher on nearby hillsides. Annual snowfall averages 90 inches or more, well above the valley. Downslope wind events out of the park can gust hard, and wildfire risk from interior park fires or lightning-strike starts is real. All of that pushes us toward Class A metal roofs with continuous underlayment, mechanically seamed panels, closed eave detailing, and ember-resistant venting.
Permits for parcels outside park boundaries run through Flathead County. Projects inside the park, if ever needed, follow NPS processes, which we walk you through.
We also work in Columbia Falls and Whitefish. Our home base is Kalispell.

Do you really come out this far?
Yes. We work along US-2 east from Columbia Falls through Hungry Horse, Coram, Martin City, and to the park entrance regularly.

What is the best roof for a cabin near Glacier?
Standing seam metal with a Class A fire rating. Heavy snow, wind, and wildfire exposure at this end of the valley make metal the clear choice for most owners. Malarkey impact-rated shingles are acceptable on sheltered, lower-elevation cabins.

Can you do a project while I'm out of state?
Yes. Most owners up here are seasonal or out-of-state. We document every step with photos, send updates, and handle billing electronically.

Do you handle wildfire-resistant detailing?
Yes. Park-interior fires like Sprague and Howe Ridge pushed a lot of West Glacier owners to upgrade. We spec Class A standing seam metal, ember-resistant vent screens (1/8 inch mesh), metal drip edges, closed soffits with non-combustible blocking, and Class A underlayments where the wildland-urban interface rating calls for it.
