Residential roofing

Most of what we work on out here is acreage homes, cabins around Smith and Ashley lakes, and large shop buildings with attached living space. Snow loads are similar to Kalispell, but wind exposure on open parcels and wildfire risk on timbered lots are bigger factors than in town.

The two systems we install most:

We also handle roof repair, tear-off and replacement, new builds, and annual inspections. For acreage properties with multiple structures, we can bundle the house, shop, and outbuildings into one project for better pricing.

Commercial and ag roofing

For small commercial and agricultural buildings in the area (shops, hay sheds, riding arenas, and rental cabins), we install standing seam and exposed-fastener metal, TPO and EPDM for low-slope additions, and coated foam for insulating existing metal barn roofs.

Why owners pick Sisu

We are a Malarkey Certified Contractor, which unlocks enhanced warranties on the shingles we install. The US-2 West corridor is inside our core 40-mile service radius from Kalispell, so response times and dispatch costs are the same as an in-town job. Read local feedback on our reviews page.

Local roofing conditions

Elevations around here run about 2,950 feet along US-2 West, surrounded by mixed timber and open pasture. Two local conditions drive most of our material recommendations: wildfire risk on timbered parcels, which pushes owners toward Class A metal and closed eaves, and wind exposure on open ag ground, which pushes us toward higher-uplift rated shingles or mechanically seamed metal. Snow loads follow the Flathead County schedule, generally 45 to 60 psf depending on elevation.

Permits run through Flathead County. Road access can be limited in deep winter, so we coordinate deliveries carefully.

Elsewhere in the Flathead Valley

Nearest stops in our coverage area are Kalispell and Marion, also along US-2 West.
